 Present Continuous Tense Berdasarkan Polanya

A. Pengertian
    Present Continuous Tense merupakan bentuk waktu yang digunakan untuk menyatakan tindakan tertentu yang tengah dilakukan oleh subjek. Present Continuous Tense ditandai dengan penggunaan akhiran -ing dibelakang kata kerja asal (V1). Example: Andy is playing the violin in the concert hall ( Andy tengah bermain biola di ruangan konser itu). Jadi, we use the Present Continuous to talk about activities that are happening now.

B. Fungsi
    Selain itu, fungsi present continuous tense juga dipakai untuk menyatakan tindakan yang sifatnya sementara, seperti Kayla is dancing now but she will take a rest soon (kayla tengah berdansa sekarang, namun dia akan segera beristirahat) dan menyatakan tindakan tertentu yang akan terjadi pada waktu yang akan datang, seperti They are goint to the theater in a few moments (Mereka akan pergi ke teater itu beberapa saat lagi).

Spelling:
Verbs that end in -e (make/write/drive etc) => -ing:
 make  => making                    write  => writing
 dance => dancing                    come  => coming

Verbs that end in -e ------> -ying:
 lie  => lying                               tie  => tying

REFLEXIVE PRONOUNS A.     INTRODUCTION 1.       Reflexive pronoun is a type of pronoun that is preceded by the adverb, adjective, pronoun, or         noun to which it refers, so long as that antecedent is located within the same clause. (Kata ganti refleksif adalah jenis kata ganti yang didahului oleh kata keterangan, kata sifat, kata ganti, atau kata benda yang dirujuknya, asalkan yang mendahului berada dalam klausa yang sama). 2.       In English grammar, a reflexive pronoun indicates that the person who is realizing the action of   the verb is also the recipient of the action.
