a. Personal pronoun merupakan pronoun
(kata ganti) yang digunakan untuk orang, hewan, benda, atau hal secara
spesifik. Kata ganti ini tergantung pada peran (subject, object, possessive).

SUBJECT
AND OBJECT PRONOUNS
a. A subject pronoun is a personal
pronoun in the nominative case. It is used as a subject.
E.g. I will read that fairy
tale.
(Saya akan membaca dongeng itu).
b. An object pronoun is a personal pronoun in
the objective case. It is used as the direct or indirect object
of a verb.
E.g. Jessica told me about
the story.
(Jessica mrenceritakan kepada saya tentang cerita tersebut).

USING PRONOUNS CORRECTLY
Sometimes people confuse pronouns in nominative and objective cases. Be sure to use a subject
pronoun in a compound subject and an object pronoun in a compound
object.

Richard and I recited the fable. (not Richard
and me)
(Richard dan saya membacakan
dongeng).
b. Jennifer helped Richard and me. (not Richard and I)
(Jennifer membantu Richard dan saya).
